Chief Accountant (Zhytomyr)

A Ukrainian export-oriented holding company that builds businesses from the ground up and is actively scaling manufacturing projects. We are looking for a strong financial expert to take full responsibility for the accounting of a manufacturing enterprise.

Location: Zhytomyr

Key responsibilities:

  • Full management of accounting and tax accounting in accordance with Ukrainian National Accounting Standards (P(S)BO)
  • Production accounting, cost calculation, allocation of overhead manufacturing costs
  • VAT accounting, period closing, participation in VAT refund procedures
  • Preparation of financial, tax, and management reporting
  • Control of accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Banking operations, support of credit agreements
  • Payroll accounting and HR record-keeping
  • Interaction with the State Tax Service, banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities
  • Managing tax and audit inspections
  • Building and optimizing internal accounting processes
  • Developing the accounting policy of the manufacturing enterprise
  • Collaboration with process engineers and the production director

Candidate requirements:

  • Higher education in accounting/finance
  • At least 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing (Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant with equivalent functions)
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax accounting
  • Experience working with VAT (VAT refund experience preferred)
  • Experience managing tax and audit inspections
  • Knowledge of production accounting, cost calculation, and foreign economic activity (FEA)
  • Confident command of 1C/BAS, M.E.Doc, Vchasno, Excel
  • Analytical thinking, responsibility, results orientation
